the leather work bag for special women
Life is full of events that at some point make you stop and understand what its essence really is.
The real essence for you.
You can understand that nourishing the soul is the biggest gift you can give yourself. You learn to enjoy the small things in life, the simple, authentic, beautiful real and honest things. All this makes you grateful: grateful for life, grateful for the people around you, grateful to the whole of humankind…
After devoting ourselves for decades to the production and sale of “almost essential” technical products, after so many business trips equipped with men’s briefcases or, even worse, with unsightly laptop backpacks, searching in vain for a female work bag, we decided to design it and make it ourselves. The Valier Tote Bag was born out of this powerful desire.
We wanted an efficient, organised, structured bag that was elegant at the same time, and so sober that it could pair any style and outfit. We wanted an ethical bag, in an environmental and a social perspective.
We wanted a bag that didn’t yet exist, a bag that would simplify the lives of the women who carry it and become part of their lives.
You can do without a Valier bag until you try it.
HISTORY IN A BAG
We like well-made bags. Finely crafted leather bags like the ones our grandmothers used to carry, without logos, big buckles or useless frills. Bags that last throughout the years without ever losing the allure of their clean, essential lines or the beauty of their handcrafted materials.
Gunilla is, in the first place, an aesthete and a perfectionist.
She pursues beauty in all its expressions and has a true obsession for details. She is constantly on a hunt for finely crafted clothes and accessories; she loves hats, turbans, fans and eyeglasses. With her high heels well hammered in the study of Fine Arts, she can also boast a diploma in professional make-up art. Gunilla adores being in the company of elegant and sly high-class pets and also loves indulging herself with a reflexive break at Caffè Florian on Piazza San Marco in Venice or in London’s sumptuous historic tea rooms.
Tired of the rampant brand-mania affecting the fashion world, with flashy goldbricks paraded around like trophies, Gunilla believes that sobriety is the future and the quintessence of taste: less whipped cream – she’d enjoy to eat! – and more quality and value. Enough with passing fashions and short-lived hip binges; it is time for long-lasting style. Gunilla’s clear-headed creativity has given birth to the VALIER tote bag, so sober that it can match an eccentric style but also, of course, essential lines.
As she cannot always express her pungent thoughts, Gunilla’s free speaking space is VALIERVENETIA’s blog.
Life in Padua offers you two options: try to touch its beauty or just let it pervade you. Time and space slip inadvertently from one era to another.
The spirit of times past, the greatness of our ancestors, man’s knowledge and above all Savoir Vivre, are tangible things, which you can see, touch, breathe and embrace.
“FOR THE GREAT DESIRE I HAD TO SEE FAIR PADUA, NURSERY OF ARTS, I AM ARRIV’D […] AND TO PADUA COME, AS HE THAT LEAVES A SHALLOW PLASH TO PLUNGE HIM IN THE DEEP, AND WITH SATIETY SEEKS TO QUENCH HIS THIRST”
